As a non-profit, the LISA BATIASHVILI FOUNDATION is committed to supporting young, highly talented musicians living on Georgian territory. The scholarship holders are selected personally by the founder and artistic director Lisa Batiashvili together with the foundation’s advisory board, consisting of key figures of the international music scene. Additionally, there is an opportunity for potential candidates to apply to a yearly announced deadline.

The foundation aims to lastingly contribute to the development of exceptional musical talent and to pave the way for musicians with insufficient financial means to enter their professional life. Our focus is set on the personal development of young people by supporting their musical education and their first steps into the professional music world.

How we help

The foundation provides both financial and non-material support. Scholarship holders will receive the support tailored to their individual needs. This may in part and not exclusively include:

Recommendation of a suitable teacher or audition
Arrangement or financing of master classes and competitions
Financing of necessary travel expenses
Advice on the acquisition of instruments
Meetings with high-ranking soloists and conductors
Recommendation to suitable concert agencies
Promotion of public presence
Scholarships
