Giorgi sajaia
Giorgi Sajaia, born in Tbilisi, Georgia, received his initial piano lessons at the Music School in Tskaltubo in class of Manana Gvaramia. He furthered his musical education at the Central Music School in Kutaisi with Tsitsino Todua, and later at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire under the guidance of Prof. Manana Doijashvili.
He completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He participated in masterclasses with Elisabeth Leonskaya, Norma Fischer, and Eliso Virsaladze, and has performed concerts in Germany, France, Poland, Turkey, the UK, Austria, and Georgia.
Since October 2021, Giorgi Sajaia has been studying orchestral conducting under Prof. Marcus Bosch and Prof. Georg Fritzsch in Munich. During his studies, he assisted and conducted in opera projects such as “The Magic Flute'“ and “Gianni Schicchi” at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
He has collaborated with orchestras such as the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of the State Theatre Augsburg, the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt, the Philharmonic Orchestra Halle, the Gärtnerplatz Theatre Orchestra, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen, the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.
He is a recipient of scholarships from the Georgian Ministry of Culture, "Live Music Now" Munich founded by Yehudi Menuhin, and the foundation of violinist Lisa Batiashvili.
